You have got a customer in the public sector, have done your work and now they ask you to send an EAN invoice. <\/span><\/p>\n

Because invoicing to the public sector does not always take place in the same way as with the well-known CVR invoicing. EAN invoicing takes place via <\/span>a so-called EAN number<\/span>, which public bodies (and several larger companies) use.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What is EAN? <\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>

    Where a CVR number is an identification number for Danish companies, EAN is a 13-digit identification number used by public bodies and larger companies. <\/span><\/p>\n

    When invoicing to, for example, public institutions, municipalities and regions, it must <\/span>take place electronically via an EAN number<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can find an overview of EAN-registered companies and organizations in Denmark at <\/span>NemHandelsregisteret<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

    When you have to send invoices to a public customer, it therefore requires that you invoice via an EAN number. If you don't, your invoice will be rejected. <\/span><\/p>\n

    However, it is a good idea to be aware that there may be several different EAN numbers for different departments under the same agency. <\/span><\/p>\n

    When you invoice in this way, the creation and payment of the invoice takes place via a secure system that protects both you and your customer. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Send your first invoice via an EAN number <\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>

    If you have created a <\/span>CVR number<\/span><\/a> for your business, you can on <\/span>Virk.dk<\/a><\/span> create an EAN invoice by entering the required information. <\/span><\/p>\n

    When you approve your EAN invoice, it is sent to your customer via a secure system.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In addition, there are several different accounting programs that have implemented the possibility of invoicing via an EAN number. <\/span><\/p>\n

    This applies to accounting programs such as <\/span>Dinner<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Billy<\/span><\/a> etc., where you can easily create this type of invoice. Several of these accounting programs have a free version where you can test EAN invoicing. <\/span><\/p>\n

    The only thing required in these programs is that you know and provide your customer's EAN number. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Invoicing for an EAN number without a CVR number<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>
